As creatives, we accept that our work will evolve – sometimes for the better, sometimes … not so much. Our work tends to move through phases – some are familiar, comfortable, and part of our time-tested process, but some occur spontaneously and lead to unexpected results.
It’s fascinating to watch the back-and-forth progression of some pieces. While it can be frustrating at times, this tendency to move “two steps forward, one step back” eventually makes the final product stronger, more interesting, and enriched with history; there is a story to tell.
